Nori Bean Dip

This creamy dip gets a unique savory boost thanks to the addition of nori powder.


1 medium Avocado, pitted and peeled
2 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Nori Powder
2 Tbsp Lime Juice
½ tsp Tamari
2 Tbsp Yellow Miso Paste
1 tsp Garlic Powder
½ tsp Wasabi Powder (optional)
1 Cup cooked Black Beans
Salt and freshly ground Black Pepper
Olive Oil, for garnish
Fresh Herbs, such as chives, parsley, or tarragon for garnish


Mash the avocado in a small bowl. Transfer the avocado to a food processor, and add the nori powder, lime juice, tamari, miso paste, garlic powder and wasabi. Blend until smooth. Add the beans, and puree. Season with additional salt and pepper if desired. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl or plate, and drizzle with olive oil and fresh herbs. Serve with flatbread, flax crackers, or carrot and celery sticks; or use as a sandwich spread.

Yield: 1 1/2 cups
