Dragonfruit Oatmeal

Pink specks of soft dragonfruit gleam out of this warm breakfast bowl like fruity little gems. For an even brighter color, use additional slices of dragonfruit as desired.


2 Cups Water
5-6 large slices Navitas Naturals Dragonfruit, chopped fine
1 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Coconut Palm Sugar, plus additional for serving
1 Cup old-fashioned Rolled Oats
1½ Cups Mixed Fresh Fruit


In a saucepan, bring the water and dragonfruit to a boil. Stir in the oats and 1 tablespoon coconut sugar and simmer over moderate heat until oats are cooked through and soft, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat, and transfer to serving bowls. Top with additional coconut sugar (if desired), and fresh fruit.

Chef's Notes

Tip: Virtually any kind of fruit will go with dragonfruit oatmeal – try tropical fruits like banana, mango, or passionfruit, or use fresh berries.
