Cacao Banana Flax Smoothie

Cheers for Chocolate!

This is a divine blend of omega 3's, antioxidants, and fiber from flax seeds and raw, pure cacao powder, as well as potassium from bananas. Have this drink to get you fueled first thing in the morning before you start your workout or after, to recover.

This recipe is dairy-free and uses almond milk. I've also added coarsely ground flax seeds which you can buy at a natural foods store. These seeds are packed with EFA's as well as other important nutrients.

Ingredients

4½ oz fresh organic Banana, about 1 large, sliced
1¼ Cup Almond Milk (organic, unsweetened)
2 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Protein Superfood Blend
1 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Cacao Powder
5 or so Ice Cubes
1 Tbsp flaxseed, coarsley ground
1 or 2 pinch Sea Salt

Directions

Add ingredients, in order, into a strong blender (it is important to keep the ice cubes on the bottom, closest to the blade). Blend until smooth. For a thinner consistency, add more almond milk.

Yield: 2 cups
