A fabulous seasoning originating from classic Japanese cuisine.
Rip or crumble the nori into small pieces over a bowl. Slowly spoon into a running food processer. Add the hemp seeds, a little at a time, stopping the machine if needed to scrape down the sides and reincorporate ingredients. Mix in the sea salt and sesame oil.
Heat a small frying pan over medium heat. Add the mixture, and toast for about 1 minute, stirring constantly, until the nori is crisp and fragrant and begins to shrink in size, then remove from heat to prevent burning.
Will keep for several weeks in an airtight container. Makes 2/3 cup.
