Superfood Steel Cut Oatmeal
with chocolate & cinnamon
1 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Cacao Nibs Sweetened
½ Tbsp Navitas Naturals Cacao Powder
2 Tbsp Navitas Naturals Hemp Seeds
1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
1 Cup Steel Cut Oats
1 Cup Coconut Milk
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Nutmeg
½ cup Walnuts (smashed)
¼ cup Raisins
2–3 Cup Water (as needed)
1–2 Tbsp shredded Coconut
Rinse oats thoroughly until water runs clear. Lightly toast walnuts in sauté pan. Combine all parts with 1 C coconut milk, and only 1 C water. Bring to a boil, reduce to low simmer, cover, stir occasionally.
Continue to stir as water is absorbed. Add in more water in as needed, until desired consistency is achieved. Use more coconut milk for creamier mouth feel. Garnish with shredded coconut.
ChefKasTip - add more water and let simmer while you shower or take care of something around the house to let cook for 25-30 minutes for creamy texture. Can also be prepared in larger batches for refrigeration or freezing for later use.
